Intimate Phenomena, Gio Tirotto’s investigation about shapes and materials, a collection of “tools for the imagination”. “Intimate phenomena happen to all of us, events of different size and duration, we observe them in wonder, explore them out of curiosity. Fascinated by the idea of research and lab testing (as for physics and chemistry), I imagined a collection of “tools for the imagination”, where shape clearly recalls the technical equipment and light has the role of door to the imaginary world. The four lighting items, inevitably create a physical relationship with the observer that steers and places them in the space according to his functional needs or evocative wishes.” Intimate Phenomena is a limited-edition collection of four lamps made of scotch brite satin steel and acrylic glass. Satellite works exactly as its name suggests: a light source, filtered by a glass sphere, sends light out to a clear surface that reflects it. The lamp is made of two separate units.

Intimate Phenomena, Gio Tirotto’s Untersuchung über Formen und Materialien, eine Sammlung von „Werkzeugen für die Vorstellungskraft“. „Intime Phänomene passieren uns allen, Ereignisse von unterschiedlicher Größe und Dauer, wir beobachten sie mit Staunen, erforschen sie aus Neugierde. Fasziniert von der Idee der Forschung und der Laborversuche (wie in der Physik und Chemie), habe ich mir eine Sammlung von „Werkzeugen für die Vorstellungskraft“ ausgedacht, in der die Form eindeutig an die technische Ausrüstung erinnert und das Licht die Rolle der Tür zur imaginären Welt übernimmt. Die vier Beleuchtungselemente stellen unweigerlich eine physische Beziehung zum Betrachter her, der sie je nach seinen funktionalen Bedürfnissen oder evokativen Wünschen im Raum platziert.“ Intimate Phenomena ist eine limitierte Kollektion von vier Leuchten aus satiniertem Scotch Brite-Stahl und Acrylglas. Satellite funktioniert genau so, wie es der Name vermuten lässt: Eine Lichtquelle, die von einer Glaskugel gefiltert wird, sendet Licht auf eine klare Oberfläche, die es reflektiert. Die Leuchte besteht aus zwei separaten Einheiten.
