François Pompon (1855-1933) and the Sèvres National Porcelain Manufactory, „Polar Bear,“ a model created between 1921 and 1924. Sèvres biscuit porcelain piece, 1933 edition by the Manufactory. Signed on the reverse with the Manufactory’s „rose“ mark, the date letter F for 1933, and the initials H.R. for the molder (Henri Robert – active from 1889 to 1933). Height: 21 cm – Length: 43.5 cm – Width: 10 cm. History: Contract signed on November 5, 1923, between François Pompon and the Manufactory for the production of this piece; contract ended in January 1934. 632 copies were produced in biscuit porcelain, crackle glaze, and glazed porcelain. François Pompon (1855–1933) und die Nationale Porzellanmanufaktur von Sèvres, „Eisbär“, ein zwischen 1921 und 1924 entworfenes Modell. Objekt aus Sèvres-Rohporzellan, Auflage der Manufaktur von 1933. Auf der Rückseite signiert mit dem „Rosen“-Zeichen der Manufaktur, dem Jahresbuchstaben F für 1933 und den Initialen H.R. für den Former (Henri Robert – tätig von 1889 bis 1933). Höhe: 21 cm – Länge: 43,5 cm – Breite: 10 cm. Geschichte: Am 5. November 1923 wurde zwischen François Pompon und der Manufaktur ein Vertrag über die Herstellung dieses Objekts unterzeichnet; der Vertrag lief im Januar 1934 aus.
