Each Whorl Console is individually hand-formed using Concrete Canvas, a technically demanding cement-based fabric that becomes stone-like when cured. The material is shaped at its most malleable state, allowing a continuous line to fold into structure, surface, and support. No two works are ever identical.
The surface is finished with hand-applied pigmented cement mortar, lightly skim-coated and polished to a smooth, stone-like sheen. Subtle variations in curvature, texture, and tone are inherent to the process and contribute to each piece’s individuality.
The Whorl Console is held in private collections internationally, with acquisitions across North America, Europe, China, and Australia.
Its fabrication process has been the subject of an award-winning documentary, screened at film festivals on three continents.

Jede Whorl-Konsole wird einzeln von Hand aus Concrete Canvas geformt, einem technisch anspruchsvvollen Gewebe auf Zementbasis, das nach dem Aushärten steinähnlich wird. Das Material wird in seinem formbarsten Zustand geformt, sodass eine durchgehende Linie zu Struktur, Oberfläche und Stütze gefaltet werden kann. Keine zwei Werke sind identisch. Die Oberfläche wird mit handaufgetragenem pigmentiertem Zementmörtel veredelt, leicht geglättet und auf einen glatten, steinähnlichen Glanz poliert. Subtile Variationen in Krümmung, Textur und Farbton sind Teil des Herstellungsprozesses und tragen zur Individualität jedes einzelnen Stücks bei. Die Whorl-Konsole befindet sich in internationalen Privatsammlungen und wurde in Nordamerika, Europa, China und Australien erworben. Ihr Herstellungsprozess war Gegenstand eines preisgekrönten Dokumentarfilms, der auf Filmfestivals auf drei Kontinenten gezeigt wurde. Erhältlich auf Bestellung im Studio.
