Satyr’s Face in Vicenza Stone, Venice, 20th Century

A stunning sculpture depicting a satyr’s face in Vicenza stone, from Venice, a private collection. This mask, which can also be used as a fountain mouth thanks to the hole, is a work of sublime quality and craftsmanship. The precision and attention to detail (the mouth, eyes, beard, etc.) are impressive; it almost seems realistic. Part of a vast collection depicting various mythological and mystical faces. The dimensions are not excessive, well-proportioned, and the weight is appropriate. Exceptional when hung on the wall. It is in excellent overall condition, intact.
